【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedwhenitisdesiredtomakehardnesstestsveryrapidly,asintheinspectionoftheoutputofaheat-treatingfurnace.ThistestmethodisnottoberegardedasastandardBrinellhardnesstestmethod.Sincethetestforcesandmethodofdisplayofthedepthmeasurementdifferbetweenmanufacturersofrapidindentationhardnesstestingequipment,thetestresultsfromequipmentfromdifferentmanufacturersarenotcomparable.A.GENERALDESCRIPTIONANDTESTPROCEDURETop1.1ThistestmethodcoverstheprocedureforrapidindentationhardnesstestingofmetallicmaterialsasanalternativetoTestMethodE10onstandardBrinellhardness.Itincludesmethodsfortheverificationofrapidindentationhardnesstestingmachines,PartB,andthecalibrationofreferencehardnesstestblocks,PartC.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
