【摘要】:WithinthecontextoftheISO/IEEE11073familyofstandardsfordevicecommunication,thisstandardestablishesanormativedefinitionofthecommunicationbetweenpersonalcardiovascularfitnessandactivity-monitoringdevicesandmanagers(e.g.,cellphones,personalcomputers,personalhealthappliances,andsettopboxes)inamannerthatenablesplug-and-playinteroperability.Itleveragesappropriateportionsofexistingstandards,includingISO/IEEE11073terminologyandinformationmodels.Itspecifiestheuseofspecifictermcodes,formats,andbehaviorsintelehealthenvironmentsrestrictingoptionalityinbaseframeworksinfavorofinteroperability.Thisstandarddefinesacommoncoreofcommunicationfunctionalityforpersonaltelehealthcardiovascularfitnessandactivitymonitordevices.Inthiscontext,cardiovascularfitnessandactivitymonitordevicesarebeingusedbroadlytocovercardiovascularfitnessandactivity-monitordevicesthatmeasurephysicalactionsandthebody’svariousphysiologicalresponsestothatactivity.
