【摘要】:ThisSectiondescribesamethodforthedeterminationofvolatileacids,whichisapplicabletoallfats,butisespeciallyusefulforfatsandblendscontainingshortandmediumcarbonchainlengthfattyacids.ThemethoddescribedistechnicallysimilartothestandardmethodoftheSocietyforAnalyticalChemistry(Analyst.1936,61,404-408).Themethodforthedeterminationofvolatileacidsisempirical;onlyapartofthevolatileacidsinthesampleisactuallydetermined.Consequentlyinordertoobtainaccu-ratelyreproducibleresultsitisessentialthatthedimensionsoftheapparatusanddetailsoftheprocedurearestrictlyadheredto.
